Bathing Beauty!

Grace Ann and I went to Stroller Strides on the island today and we had a great time! Although it was VERY hot we enjoyed cooling off in the ocean! This was GA's first time to put her feet in the sand and I can proudly say that she takes after me and her Grann and loves being in the waves, water and sand!
I wish Russ could have joined us, but we are going to try and take her this Sunday to splash in those waves again. Usually, we have an abundance of seaweed at the beach, but it was nice and clear! Here are some pictures from today!
She loved the water (and eating the sand, too)!

Her fellow bathing beauties!

What a cute senorita!!

Look at that cute BEE-hind!

Saturday night we went to Rockport to visit with some good friends from Cleveland. We had so much fun introducing these cute playmates! Logan, Kelly's little boy, and GA hit it off! He is just a cutie and showed GA how to play with a ball.
I guess I didn't get any pics of us, Kelly! I think once those peel -n- eat 'em shrimp were in my hands I forgot about taking any more pictures!
Oh and a special thanks to GA's stylist.....her sweet godmother, Emily! We love the "mexican dress!!!!" I just wish she would keep a bow on her head to complete the ensemble!
Summertime is in full swing with us! Oceana is with us this week for Sea Camp at the Texas State Aquarium and we have a week full of activities! Stay tuned for more pics!

The time has come..

FOR THE BABY OCTAGON!! (Well, it's really a hexagon, but that doesn't sound as cool.) Russ brought home this wonderful present for me today, the second of highly anticipated gifts. The first being the cradle swing when GA was 3 weeks old. Now that GA has become highly mobile our life has taken a new turn. Grann and Pop here are some new pics for you to enjoy and later this week I will post a video of GA doing some crawling.

Good times with good friends!

Those are some really cool people!

Ahhhhhh.....double date night! Barn and Emily came in from Austin to visit us last weekend and we all had a blast! The boys went fishing on Saturday and Emily and I enjoyed a leisure lunch at Trout Street. Unfortunately due to my poor planning we did not make it to the beach! Arghhhh.....I forgot that the Port A ferry takes FOREVER on a Saturday afternoon in summertime! What was I thinking?! Needless to say after a fun 1 1/2 rubber necking to get to Port A we didn't see the need to rush and eat to get the beach. So hello Miami Vice's and peel and eat 'em shrimp!
GA was a trooper while her parents enjoyed having a little freedom from parenthood! We have the best neighbor and she kept GA for us. So on Saturday night we all went to Mamma Mia's for dinner and then to the Republic of Texas for dessert and drinks. I loved every minute of telling old Southwest Texas stories and remembering times that were some of the best times of our lives.
Thanks Barn and Emily for visiting and we look forward to some Longhorn football this fall!!

More vacation pics!

Here are some more pics of our trip! The ones of GA and Camden were taken in Mick's office after we met the guys after the golf tournament. We put them in Mick's chair to for a cousin photo-op and they were too cute! All you need is two cute cousins and some highlighters to do the trick. I can't say it enough how much fun we had on this trip to see Mick, Enjoli and Camden! I loved being able to see them and spend time in such a beautiful country. I sure hope their next station is in Destin, Florida! Bring on the family vacations!!!!!

After the tour, Enjoli and I pose while I have GA in the "baby papoose!"
Schloss Neuschwanstein
known as "Cinderella's Castle"
Linderhof

On our way up to the gazebo, I loved the trellis!

View of Linderhof from the gazebo we hiked to....

On the Linderhof grounds

At the gasthaus (guesthouse) in their "biergarten"
We had some really good (and really bad for you) food that night!

On the way home, we pulled over in Austria and enjoyed the view.
