A year ago today our lives changed more than we could have ever imagined! We are so blessed that God gave you to us and that we get to be your parents. Watching you grow from a tiny baby into a big girl has been such a gift and I have loved every minute of it! I look forward to watching you grow more and more each year. We love you so much sweet girl!
I will post pictures of this sweet girl's birthday party soon. We had a great weekend and just enjoyed reflecting over the past year! Thank you to all our friends and family who helped Russ and I give GA the best start to life. It truly takes a village to get a little person going on the right track. She is so lucky to have all you guys in her life giving her your love and support!

6th Anniversary at La Cantera
This past weekend Russ and I got to meet up with our awesome friends from our Midland days in San Antonio at the La Cantera resort! It was so nice to have an adults only weekend! Grace Ann got to hang out with my parents...thank you Mom and Rick for coming all the way to CC! We enjoyed laying out by the pool, sipping our pina coladas and eating really good food! I would say that our only negative to the weekend was that poor Russ had to suffer through his never-ending eye infection! He has had this darn thing since mid-July! But despite him wearing sunglasses in every picture and everywhere we went, we had a fantastic time! I hope we can all do it again next summer!
Oh, the most important part of the weekend was the celebration of our anniversaries! Russ and I celebrated 6 years "strong" on August 9th and Todd and Janai celebrated 6 years "strong" on August 2nd! Yea for us!!! So here is a little picture montage of our weekend complete with commentary!

Keep praying for precious Sophie!
Here is a picture of little Sophie! Today she had a really hard surgery to take out the stint they had put in when they did surgery in early July. She is such a fighter, because the doctors have told Natalie and Marvin twice that she wasn't going to make it and look how awesome our Lord is! She is still going strong! Please continue to be with this family, last night was so difficult due to the pain that Sophie was in and the upcoming surgery of today. God is a miracle worker and HE can heal this precious baby! Thank you for your prayers and support! Please paste and copy the prayer button so we can pass on the power of prayer for this family!

Video of GA crawling and hugging doll baby!
Here is GA doing some crawling! She has been on the move since our return from Germany and I am really having to keep up with her! I heard when she starts walking it will get worse! Yikes...
This video was taken when we were in Montgomery and GA was giving hugs to her doll baby! I think it is just too cute!

Our visit with Aunt Lindy in Montgomery, Alabama!
Visits to my Aunt Lindy's house are some of my most memorable childhood moments! She always knew how to make me feel so welcome and very spoiled! So when mom and I decided to take Grace Ann to Montgomery I was excited for her to understand what true southern hospitality is all about! Honey ham, sister scheburt cinnamon and sausage rolls, fresh fruit and homegrown tomatoes are just a few of my favorites that she has in stock for our visits! Every time I have been to Montgomery she has something new for us to see and do and this visit was no exception! But since I have had GA, I love to go to baby boutiques in any town I am in, so mom and I dragged Aunt Lindy to every cute place we could find and boy did they have some cute stuff! We bought GA some cute outfits, Auburn Tiger panties (Aunt Lindy's favorite team) and her precious birthday bib! Thank you for taking to us these wonderful places and to get some much-appreciated "shrimp and grits", Aunt Lindy!! Grace Ann had so much fun playing in your laundry basket, crawling all over the place and listening to you read her stories (her favorite)! We hope to come again next year and I hope Russ will be able to join us, too!
