9 months old!

Such a bad mom...I didn't even take a picture of him with his 9 month sticker! I kept saying to myself that I would do it tomorrow and of course, a little over a month later it's really tomorrow and it didn't happen! So I picked out a picture I did take of him the weekend after he was 9 months and this will do. Sorry Davis, I will make it up to you!

 Development:

This month he has been busy moving around all over the place!  He discovered a form of crawling, which is scooting, using his arms to propel him wherever he wants.  He started this a little before 9 months, but has gotten faster and more curious!

He loves to clap with music and watch people when they sing or play with him. Who ever invented "Patty Cake" for babies was brillant! All of my kiddos, just love it and Davis is no exception.  So we play that game a LOT, but I will do anything for his toothy smiles!

Eating:

Randomly and I mean randomly, he took (actually gulped) down one BOTTLE. It was one day after we had been going through one of his nursing strikes (when he is cutting a new tooth) and doesn't nurse well during the day. So usually, I just pump and feed him an extra watery version of rice cereal. But that day I just decided to break out the bottle and the boy took it! I was so excited, but then it was a no go the next day! 

Of course, most days he nurses around 7:30am, 12:30p, 6:30/7p and sometimes he nurses in the late afternoon, too.  

He eats three times a day baby food, but also some table food like yogurt, cheerios, puffs.  

Sleeping:

He had a good month with his sleep (stay tuned for month 10, not too good). 

Taking 2 naps a day, am- 45 minutes to 1 hour

pm- 1.5 to 2 hours

And he is sleeping 11/12 hours a night, going to sleep around 7:00-7:30p and going until 7am. 

Misc.

I can't believe he is getting so big! I love to see him grow, but also tear up to see him getting bigger and bigger! I sometimes feel so emotional realizing all the kiddos are growing up to fast!  

But, I try to be so thankful that I get to be a part of all it...the good, the bad and the ugly!

Back to Davis, he is just a really happy baby except when he has a little stranger anxiety that kicked in last month.  He loves to play with brother and sister and try to interact with them. He loves to look at books and watch Baby Einstein.  Just so lucky he is a part of our family!
