Happy Heart Day to all! The Sebring 4 had a fun day filled with a Valentine's Day party at MDO, good naps and a pizza dinner! You can't get it better than having a sweet family on Heart Day! Above and below are Grace Ann and her Daddy playing a game of Princess dominoes complete with cowboy hats! We are an eclectic bunch! They were so cute!

This wild man with some crazy wild man hair! I know, I know his hair is like a lion's mane and I have no way to tame it down! It either sticks straight up or out all sides! But I feel that there just isn't enough to get cut! I took this picture the other day when GA was at school and it was just the two of us! He had managed to crawl inside of the desk and get himself stuck...but he was having all sorts of fun!

Henry at 10 months!

As you can tell, Henry is a wiggle worm! And now the camera flash seems to get his eyes at just the right the spot and he flinches, which in real life is pretty cute!

Ten months was a big month for this little guy:

He learned how to "cruise" and "pull-up" onto furniture. So now the house is his kingdom and he is everywhere! It is so funny to see him discover our house, because to me it is the same ole' same ole' but to this guy it is "AHmazing!"
Right when he turned 10 months he began to pick up food and put it into his mouth! Big milestone, and this makes restaurant time so much easier.
I have stopped nursing him due to severe (and I mean severe) biting issues. I will not expand past that, but I am still pumping. And he's doing great with the bottles. So I will do that until he is a year.
He eats 20-22 oz. every day, about 3-4 bottles a day and three full meals with snacks. I am slowly introducing solid foods: pancakes, eggs, pasta, avocado and tofu.
He is still a great sleeper with 11-12 hours every night and 2 naps a day. I think that he is growing out of that morning nap because he does fight it more than not. So we will see about phasing that out soon, just not yet!
He loves to be where big sister is and to see what she is up to. And for the most part she is very accomodating to him.
His love at the beginning of ten months was opening and shutting doors, cabinets and anything that would swing. He was like in a trance figuring out how these things work!
Now for the most part he loves to have a toy in hand that makes noise when he crawls around and bangs it on the floor!
And he spoke his first words this last week! His first official word was "Oscar!" Of course it sounds more like "OOOs- KA" but it is definitely his name and he says it when he is trying to pet him. He can also sign "All Done." and say the beginning syllables to that, too! I am very impressed! So far he has communicated to us that he likes our dog and enjoys finishing his dinner!
As far as his stats go, for his 9 month well baby appt. he was 20lbs. (30th % weight) and 29.5 inches long (85th % height). He dropped down in weight percentage but I think that is because he has had some ear infections and colds that have made him not too hungry. But I bet he will be up when we go for the 12 month well baby check!

As you can already guess, we are on our toes this month with little guy! No one ever told me how clumsy boys are! Henry falls almost every day and what kills me is that I am within steps, inches or seconds from him. It comes out of nowhere! Enjoy his funny faces as much as I do!

It seems like I have had this underlying theme this month of "Oh, I'll get to that later or I'll have time to do that this afternoon while the kids are napping." Of course I say that and then you see it has been a while since I have posted any pictures on the blog. Unfortunately, the blog is low on the list of to-do's and now I am sitting down to update what we've been up to since the ball dropped!

2012 started off with a big change! Russ accepted a new position with a completely different company. We have been praying for this type of change for quite some time now and he is very excited to get to work for Premier Tank Trucking as their Safety and Operations Manager for the Eagle Ford area. Although he will be doing something very different he is still working within the Environmental/Oil Industry. I am so thrilled for him that he has this opportunity.

Grace Ann is in full swing with Mother's Day Out and playdates with friends. At times she calls her school mates her "kids." She received her first goose egg on her head and we have learned that her head is extremely hard. But I already knew that! She continues to amaze us with her imagination, especially when she begins with "Let me tell you my story..."
She has taken over the responsibility of blessing our meals and even though she invites you to begin with "your prayer" she is by all means meaning that she will start and will cut you off after your 3rd word and begin with hers. Thank you Lord for granting Russ and I patience as well as watching your work inside GA's heart. Patience is definitely the key theme that I have to work on with myself when dealing with her. Her little brain is running a mile a minute and if I am not right with her...naughtiness seems to trickle into our house like a leaky faucet. But God love her she is a hoot and I am so ever lucky to be her mommy!

Baking Cookies for Santa!

As you can see I am still posting Christmas pictures! This picture was taken on Christmas Eve when GA and my dad were making cookies for Santa. Of course, my dad does the slice and bake version, but Grace Ann didn't care and she loved the "event" of making the cookies for Santa! I will have to say that Santa had no complaints!

Christmas Part 2

What a fun Christmas we had this year! Another year of fun, joy and good laughs! This year we did Christmas at our house when Santa dropped off the goodies, then headed to church at 9:30 and then headed over to the grandmother's and the island house to round off the day. It was to say the least, a day of wonderful exhaustion! I love to be around all of our family, but at the same end it wears my family out! We were so tired by the end of the day...I guess that is why Christmas only comes around once a year!

The following pics are of our day un-wrapping all the great gifts we received by our family and Santa! We are so blessed beyond belief and I am so glad that Santa went a little light on the gifts because everyone else went out of their way to give to our children!

GA loves to see the manger and Baby Jesus....the Sebring kiddos made very helpful choices at church on Christmas day!

Yay, Santa brought a Belle dress and matching doll!
Santa knew that Brother was getting a lot of hand me down toys from Big Sister so he did not want to crowd the Sebring house with too much loot! Thank you Santa!

The kids also got their big ticket item, too! A Little Tikes Home and Garden playhouse! It is so cute that is very gender neutral...a tool bench on one side and a kitchen/flowerbox on the other. Plus a little fence and mailbox! I know that Henry and GA will have fun "fixing" their house together...I just hope little miss will share the hammer and screwdriver!

Daddy Date Night

OH My Gracious!
Are these two not just absolutely precious?!

Wednesday night was Bunco at our house and so Russ and GA went out for date night; which consisted of going to Olive Garden (where GA insisted on eating spaghetti and meatballs and green beans), getting me a Christmas present and looking at Christmas lights.

They had a ball and I loved hearing about every single detail....except when little miss keep no secrets bursts in to tell me exactly what I was getting for Christmas! It was too funny, though!

Here was our conversation:

Mommy: Hey, baby girl how was your date with daddy?

GA: Mommy, mommy we got you a watch!

Mommy: Oh, you did.

GA: Mommy, mommy we got you a watch at the store!

(Secretly, I am terrible with surprises, so I was just a tad bit excited when I heard that I am getting what I asked Santa for Christmas this year! )

And in case you were wondering, Brother, was oohed and ahhed over at Bunco by my girl friends! He just can't hang out in the nightlife anymore...he is definitely schedule bound these days!

9 months in and 9 months out!

Somebody is already 9 months old! And thankfully Henry has continued to grow and Mama has finally shed ALL those pregnancy pounds! Yay! With two little ones, it is definitely a workout just keeping up with them! We are always on the go and continue to not sit still!

So my little guy has turned 9 months on Dec. 9th and I am in awe at the amazing things he has been doing lately! He has been hitting some more milestones and getting more and more active!

So far this is what we see Henry doing these days:

concentrating more on what the toys are doing and how they work
chewing, chewing and more chewing on soft objects
teething on teething biscuits
loves to look at bright lights, i.e. the christmas tree
crawling and scooting
going from sitting to crawling and back up again
drooling, drooling, drooling...I think those top teeth are coming soon
sleeping from 7:30p-7:30a
loves to play in the bath
babbles to himself and to us
got his first cold
stacking and nesting cups
loves, loves balls inside of balls and hearing them jiggle

Oh, Henry we love watching you grow into being a little boy! We can't wait for more things to come! I think Santa is going to bring you some fun toys because you have been a very good little boy!

8 month old boy!

Whoa Nelly...did the last 8 months pass us by! Our little boy was 8 months old on Nov. 9th and he has experienced a lot of new firsts! At 8 months Henry is...

sitting up and playing with toys, toys and toys!
over 19lbs. and wearing 9 month clothes.
eating solid food twice a day: once in the morning and once in the evening
nursing 4-5 times a day
napping twice a day
rolling over and over!
scooting on his tummy and trying so hard to crawl!
grunting, babbling many consonant vowel repetitive patterns and squealing EXtremely loud!
getting teeth; got his first two teeth on the bottom on Oct. 17th and Oct. 28th
amazed by Baby Galieo (Baby Einstein)
making his family laugh and smile everyday!

Grace Ann is a big fan of Santa this year and she has enjoyed hugging and smiling at him! Can you believe it is already the Christmas season? I know I say this every year now, but it just always creeps up on me! We are in the thick of it at our house...we have trimmed the tree, hung the lights, written our letters to Santa, learning about the Christmas story and trying to keep the calm among all the wonderful excitement.

In these pictures, we went to a local event in our town that puts on Christmas activities for the kids in the community. They had letter writing to Santa, cookie decorating, hay rides, visit with Santa and making reindeer food.

We had a great time, but due to the craziness of the situation and I was manning the kiddos by myself, we did not get to everything. But we had fun and of course GA and AG got to play together! Brother had a good time watching from the stroller, which helped a ton that he was super cooperative and just loved looking at all the people!

Fredericksburg...on the way home!

We took a quick trip into Fredericksburg on the way home from Midland and it was super cold and windy! I have really got to get myself a coat! All I had was a light sweater and that wind was chilly! I love how Fred-burg is so decorated for Christmas and it is such a cute, cute town! We enjoyed looking at all the little stores, eating German food and buying some new ornaments for our tree. We took a walk through the Christmas park they have and poor Henry had to stay bundled up in the stroller! GA had a wild time running all over the place and thank goodness she stood still long enough for us to snap a few pictures! Russ did most of the picture taking and he was fast! We have decided to make it a tradition after Thanksgiving to spend the night in Fred-burg on the way home and get to take the kids through such a cute Christmas town!

Thanksgiving with Meme and Pepaw

I love Sebring Thanksgiving dinner! It is oh so tasty and I am so thankful my children will grow up on these yummy recipes! On Wednesday, we packed up the car and headed the 500 miles up north to Midland. We left a little later than we wanted but luckily made it with no big incidents! It was a wonderful relaxing holiday with me and kids enjoying staying with Meme while Pepaw and Russ headed out to the deer lease for some big boy time! One day Henry will be joining them...which boggles my mind when I think of this sweet little boy all grown up! While the boys were off, I took advantage of the sales and got in some good Christmas shopping. GA and I enjoyed a mommy and daughter date to Rosa's Cafe and ate some delicious queso and tortillas! Then we picked up Daddy in San Angelo after eating at Henry's Mexican Restaurant and headed to Fredericksburg for a quick night before heading home!

I am so embarrassed that I JUST took this picture last night...the last day he was 7 months! But you know how it goes, I have that mentality of "oh I will get to that later." Then I realized later was yesterday and here is the 7 month picture very much later than I wanted!

This boy has really grown this last month! He learned how to sit up by himself, dig through his bucket of toys, babble babble, cut two teeth within a week of each other and has sparked some interest in crawling (this mama is just not ready for a mobile baby)!

Right now, his activities of choice are: jumping up and down in the control center, watching anything sister is doing, being held and flirted with, going on stroller rides and attempting to grab Oscar's ears! So far, Oscar has been okay, but I know that won't last for long!

Henry weighs 19 lbs. and I am not sure how long he is...but whoa my arms are tired! I know by Christmas I may have to say goodbye to his infant seat and hello to a new car seat!

I can't believe how fast life goes by these days and I really want it to slow down so I can really process all the wonderful memories that I see my children making for me! With all the chaos that goes on in the world and even in my everyday life, I am so thankful for these moments that I get to have!

A month full of Fun!

Before we knew it, October slid on by with many events for the Sebring 4! We went to GA's fall festival at her school, celebrated Grandmother Tatum's 90th birthday, took a quick trip to Cleveland, endured a big sinus infection with GA, watched Henry cut his first two teeth, had our annual Halloween party, went to the Murphree Pumpkin carving party and lastly we went Trick or Treating last night! Whew...did I say we were busy! As busy as it has been, we have had some major fun and have enjoyed watching these kiddos grow! I have been so proud of Grace Ann lately and how she is really working on her "helpful choices" and learning how to cope with difficult situations and Henry has been a trooper with those teeth! Double ouch with two coming up together! All the pictures below are from this month! Enjoy!

When we were in Midland in September, Mary and I took the kids out to the Children's Museum. I used this opportunity to put my camera to the test and I have to say that I am very pleased with the shots I got! However, you will notice that shooting the two of them is a whole new ballgame and it is pretty darn hard folks...kuddos to photographers!

Grace Ann Tatum Sebring- 3 years

Wow...that was super fast!

My, oh my, the time these days is literally shooting by me and Russ!

September was the biggest blur and I can't even tell you about August! Okay, I can jog the memory to talk about my sweet, sweet little girl's 3rd birthday and her milestones!

This little miss...

is a busy, busy, busy girl!
she had a princess/dragon slayers party this year with her precious friends attending!
she weighs 33lbs. and is 38 inches tall!
she is really into "Wonder Pets" "Olivia" and "Super Why!"
loves to play with her brother and she is his publicist as well, introducing him to any number of fans.
and at times is on paci patrol, where she will not stop at any cost until her brother has his paci ( a little forcefully) inserted into his mouth.
loves to riverdance (yes, we taught her this concept)!
loves to do jumping jacks, running in place and exercises like mommy.
her favorite toys are anything to do with dress-up, pretend play and puzzles.
loves to be outside when it isn't scorching.
she is super curious about nature and loves to learn about farming and animals!
she will eat all fruit and is eating green beans and carrots voluntarily and even requests them!

This girl is A-mazing and even though we have O-fficially hit those threes (whoa those are hard!), we couldn't ask for anything more. She makes us laugh hysterically, even when we see those rain clouds. She makes us realize that life can be just completely simple and not complicated. We can see the world through her beautiful eyes and enjoy it for the wonderful place that God has created for us and that is where you find true happiness!

So, GA, baby girl, and pumpkin seed you have made your Daddy and I so proud to be YOUR parents!

Wow...that was fast!

Let's see what you have been up to...

You are a bundle of joy, literally!
A chunky monkey!
90th percentile for height and 60th for weight (18lbs. 2 oz.)
You love your paci and demand it most of the day!
Cackle and I mean cackle at anything and everything your sister does!
Sleep pretty good at night with the exception of a few nights...teeth just might be on our horizon!
Do NOT like to be in a pack and play away from home...those are the fun nights for Mommy and Daddy!
Yep, you are still swaddled, just your legs, though.
Getting more used to hanging out in your "control center."
Love to sit in the bumbo and go through your basket of toys.
Surprisingly, you are still okay with the playmat and bouncy seat!
You started sitting up and just Monday, Oct. 3rd, you were only supported by the boppy!
At times, you can get your britches quite dirty! Ask your Pepaw one day, he will definitely tell you!
Mesmerized by the bright lights of "Wonder Pets" that your sister loves.
This month we started feeding you baby food two times a day and you are a great eater!
Most of all, we just love you and those contagious smiles!

Henry Wade, you are the sweetest little baby boy we could have ever asked for! I think your mama is going to spoil you rotten, just like your sister is! We love you brother bear!

Grace Ann started Mother's Day Out in August! She loves it and was so excited to go to "school!" I love her teacher and the little classroom that she's in! It was so cute to see her wear a backpack and carry her lunch kit! Now we just need to fine-tune those listening ears!

The Tooth Fairy!

Today, Grace Ann and I had such a fun time together playing "tooth fairy!" Earlier, before going to the grocery store, she got out all her favorite dress-up clothes ready to dress-up. However, being the mama with a goal of getting grocery shopping done by 11 o'clock...I tabled the dress-up until after "sleepytown aka nap." Then I had the idea of letting her be the tooth fairy where I cut out extremely terrible looking teeth ( I have never claimed to be an artist) and hid them around the house for her to find! She loved it and for 30 minutes we were in tooth fairy bliss! Even brother enjoyed watching big sister prance or shall I say scoot around in her high heels complete with tennis shoe socks! So precious is my little girl!

After Sea World, I got this great idea to load up my kids again and set off to visit my extended family in Mississippi! Thank goodness my mom volunteered to join us because one fussy baby, a whining pre-schooler and one frustrated mama do not make a road trip too enjoyable. So thank you a million times over to the wonderful mom that I have!

We did however get to see lots of family and as GA puts it, "Are we going to meet more family, mommy?" I know that poor girl was so confused by the time we left! As we say in the South, "Bless her heart!"

I love getting to see all my first cousins, who I grew up with seeing at almost every holiday, so it's hard to not see them very often. I love hearing their accents and eating that good southern comfort food.

The trip was very memorable and I was so glad to see people who I haven't seen in a long time.

Sea World 2011

Did this girl love her trip to Sea World!
We went in late July and believe me we won't be doing that again!
It was out of control too hot, but we had a good time despite the heat and crowds!
These pictures are from the second day we went, where we just took GA while Henry and my parents hung out at the hotel. It was too hot for my sweet boy!
We were so lucky that my parents tagged along, because they were so helpful and we could not have done without them!

Henry is such a happy baby!

Grace Ann helped me stage this photo shoot and she is a great stylist!

At this stage in his life, Henry is loving all his playthings: the play mat, the bouncy seat, links, and the jumpy/control center!

Which is great for me because he is still staying put!

However, he loves to kick those chunky legs and gets so excited when he sees his daddy!

Last week, we started him on rice cereal at night and he is a great eater...of course he is! He comes from a long line of great eaters!

Today, we went for a weight check so I could refill his reflux medicine and he is already

17lbs. and 4 oz.

Other important Henry facts:

he is belly laughing especially when sister puts on her "show"

still attached to paci, but going longer each day without it in his mouth

gets bashful and loves to hide in your neck

I can't believe that 8 years ago I walked down the aisle and we became a family!
You are the most wonderful husband and father to our children that I ever could have asked for!

Swim Lessons

Grace Ann took her first private swim lessons in the beginning of July and I am so glad she did. It was hard for at first because let's face it she's 2 and just wanted to do things her way. So after I got in the pool with her and pumped her up (because I knew she could do it) she did really well. Because of those first little lessons she has gotten much more confident each time she swims and now goes underwater all by herself and swims back and forth from me and Russ! I am so proud of her and breathing a sigh of relief! Now if she fell into a pool on accident she knows what to do!

We spent the 4th in a very relaxed manner. Oceana, GA, Henry and me and Russ hung out at the island house with Russell's parents. I love how blogs can be your own personal family journal and often I forget to just sit down and write about the kids...what they are doing at this stage in their life. I know that someday I am really going to enjoy reading about them and remind myself just how special this part of our lives was way back when or as Russ and I refer to.."the good 'ole days!"

To my sweet boy Henry!-

You are almost 5 months old and growing up way too fast for your mama to keep up with your baby book! Whew...just yesterday you rolled over from front to back and gave your daddy the biggest smile! You really made his day...especially because he got to see something you did first!

You are probably over 16 pounds now and the cutest little chunk! I love looking at those sturdy legs and wonder what sport you might play. By the way you are loving standing up in mine and Daddy's laps, too. You give us the best smiles and big laughs when the tickle bug comes out and you really love watching your sister! You give her the biggest smiles.

Right now you love to play with the hanging toys on your play mat, being held, sitting in the bumbo, chewing on soft toys and your paci! You are not so into the Playful Puppies bouncy seat:( and you don't like to be ignored too much! Sorry, buddy, your sister commands a pretty big audience at times!

We have given you several nicknames: Brother, buddy, brother bear, and mister-mister. GA loves to introduce you to anyone who asks about you...she is very proud of you!

Mr. Henry Wade your mama and daddy and big sister love you oh so much and JUST couldn't imagine our lives without you!

To my super Grace Ann!

I can't believe we are about to celebrate your 3rd birthday! You are such a big girl and a great big sister! Everyday your daddy and I ask each other to "tell me something that Grace Ann did today that was cute?" And we just love to listen to you talk. You have such a creative imagination and come up with some interesting conversations. You love animals, princesses, and exploring! You have become a little ballerina that loves to wear "ballerinas" (code for ballet shoes) and give me and your daddy daily recitals. We love to watch you perform!

I love how you have made helpful choices and how beautiful your heart is! You care about others and want to make sure that you mommy and daddy's heart happy!

You do huff and puff and blow the house down when the world doesn't go your way, but you always try to make it better with your smile and when you say," your heart not sad anymore, right, mommy?" I think to myself that tantrum wasn't that bad!

You are playing more and more with mr. Oscar dog and often scold him, like me, for barking too loud! He does love to scare cats!

These days you are enjoying playing with friends and anyone you meet on the playground. You are definitely a friendly little thing and always has a smile on your face and I love, love, love how even small things are super exciting to you!

Grace Ann, you are teaching me to be a better mommy and to remember to stop and smell the roses and not to worry so much about things that really don't matter. I love you baby girl and I am so proud of you!

San Antonio Zoo

We went to the SA Zoo the first weekend of July and took GA, Henry and Oceana! It was a good time being together, however, it was really HOT and crowded! It was super crowded because we picked the BUSIEST weekend to go...4th of July weekend! Lesson learned folks, not again will the Sebring's venture to any park, zoo, or family aimed establishment on such a busy weekend, let alone in the summer time! Wait a minute, we are going to Sea World this weekend! Well, certainly after this weekend we will learn our lesson!

With joking aside, Russ and I enjoyed spending time with Oceana and seeing her interact with Grace Ann. She has really grown up and is such a sweet, sweet girl! We love having her visit us in the summer!

The other night I was in the bathroom washing my face when Russ shouts from GA's room to come see....this is what I found...a sweet moment of my family at bedtime. I started to laugh and say "umm...how did you get so lucky?" Russell always comes back with a simple answer, "I just did." Sometimes when doing the most mundane things in my life, God shouts to me "to come see" and He shows me exactly how blessed I am. These three people in my life are everything to me and I can't believe how lucky I am! Happy Monday everyone... I feel like my week has started on a pretty high note!

Happy Boy! Henry is 4 months old today!

Henry came into our lives just four months ago, but it seems like he has been with us a lifetime! He is truly a joy to be around with a smile that makes his momma melt (see below picture)! At this stage in Henry's sweet life he is busy discovering the world around him. He learned how to grab his feet on July 2nd and his first little laugh came on June 21st!

He also loves to:

listen to stories
be held by mommy and daddy
watch big sister
be sung to and bounced on laps
his paci and blankie bear and dino
ride in stroller

His bedtime routine:

get on pajamas around 8:30p
eat/reflux medicine
prayers and songs
go down around 9p and sleeps until 7:30-8:00am

At 4 months he takes 3 naps, one in the morning, one in the afternoon and one in the early evening. The early evening nap is a short one..maybe about 20-30min.

He is also a growing boy at 14lbs. 13 oz. and 23.5 inches long!

Tonight is his first night in his crib! What a big boy!

Finally! I am sitting down to post some new pics of the family and to update the blog! We have been super busy this month, well last month, with many fun events!

Henry had his 2 month well visit and he weighed a whopping 12lbs. 6 oz. and 23.5 inches long. He is in the 6oth percentile in both height and weight!

Then on May 15th we celebrated Henry's baptism with family and friends. We had the best turn-out and Russ and I felt so blessed to be surrounded by them. Father Paul even flew in to do the honors! (He is a close family friend, who happened to marry me and Russ and is GA's godfather!)
A week later, I resigned my kindergarten position to once again stay at home with my babies. It was a hard decision and I know that I will miss teaching...because it TRULY is my passion to be a teacher of young children, but I am so excited to TEACH my two kiddos! So GA and Henry welcome to homeschool by your crazy mama!
After moving out of my classroom and saying my goodbyes to the students we had a great Memorial Day weekend with Russell's sister, brother-in-law and cousin Jack! They are expecting a little bundle at the end of the July! We can't wait to meet her!

I am so excited it is summer, but blogger friends expect to see me in lots of ponytails because it is so "shut the front door" hot in this town! No one wants to have frizz hair and deal with sweaty neck back, so ponytails it is!

My sweet boy is already two months old!

I never knew that my heart could stretch this much...but it has! After having GA I couldn't imagine how I would love another one as much as her, but it definitely happens and it's pretty awesome! This little guy brings us so much joy!

Here is what Mr. Henry is up to these days!

He slept from 11-6 on May 6th! Happy Mother's Day to me!

He weighs 12 lbs. 4 oz. (we haven't been to our 2 month check yet, more stats later.)

He has the cutest chunky thighs!

He is cooing, smiling and making facial expressions.

He's kicking those legs and waving his arms.

Eating pretty much every 3 hours during the day.

Disney on Ice!

Happy Mother's Day to all my mommy friends and especially to our moms! We love you so much and appreciate all that you do for us and most importantly HAVE done for us!

We shared our day with some close friends at the Disney on Ice show! GA loved watching all the princesses and was so excited to see Cinderella dance with her prince! There were about 25 of us piled into a super nice suite! Which that saved us, because we were able to move around and Russ sat with GA while I had Henry! Plus it was nice getting to visit with my girlfriends! We had the best time and I am so glad that I spent my mother's day with my new family of four!

This Saturday we went to the community center for breakfast with the Easter Bunny! I was a little nervous that GA would freak out when she saw him, but she just ran with it and was super excited! Henry's Big Debut

Russ and I went to the doctor today and we are for sure going in for the induction on Tuesday night. Yes, this Tuesday night!!!! I am a little nervous to say the least, but I am also super excited to meet our little guy!

I think it's different having the other gender, because I really can't imagine what he's going to look like or who, because GA has very few of my features, more of Russ's side and off the charts coloring from way back in my family! So we could possibly have another blue-eyed and red-headed baby or he could look just like us! It's so up in the air, but I think that is how the Lord surprises us. It is definitely HIS plan on how he gives us our children and he has shown me and Russ that we can't plan everything!

We will keep you updated and I will post pictures as soon as I have recuperated! Until then, keep us in your prayers and wish us well! We have felt so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family thinking of us!

Here are pictures of Henry's room that I took this week! I love the bedding that my mom got him from PB with the whale theme! I don't know why I love whales so much, but I think they are just too cute! Grace Ann is so precious about his room. She says, "Henry has whales and I have octopus!" She has an octopus on one of her accent pillows. She loves to see the new things he has gotten and of course loves to play with them, too.

Now all we need is our little bundle of joy to come and enjoy his new room!

I have felt so blessed to have been showered with such love at my school! They threw me a shower on a Friday afternoon and so many people came to help celebrate Henry's arrival! We got so many wonderful and thoughtful gifts and I am so grateful for all the support that everyone has given us this year! I will miss seeing them everyday, but I am excited to stay at home with Henry for the rest of the year!

In February, Russ went paddle-boarding for a friend of ours surprise birthday party! I was impressed that Russ didn't fall off and it was his first time to try this out! ADPI Baby Shower

Today, Russ, GA and I loaded up in the car and headed to SA for a baby shower my sweet college friends and also my ADPI sisters had for me and Laura! We had the best time catching up and I wish we could have had more time together! Henry got a lot of cute, cute things and I am getting excited about this little boy coming home to us in March! Here are some pics of the shower!

Apparently something happened to the cake and I had to catalog this event in my blog forever, because it so like my group of friends to have some kind of blooper! It still tasted EXCELLENT!

A surprise winter break and a little dancin'

On Wednesday of this week, my school district shut school down for Thursday and Friday! So that means a 4 day weekend!! Down in South Texas when the weather predicts ice, snow or ice pellets we take it seriously....12 school districts called off school! Of course our dear weathermen didn't quite predict the right weather and there definitely wasn't any snow and very little ice! Oh well, a nice break for me and some quality time with my little girl before she becomes a big sister! Russ also had Friday off, due to both big bridges being closed. So we stayed in and announced to GA it was Jammy Day! She had so much fun and we enjoyed being at home together!

GA has really gotten into dress-up and "ballerinas," so when I DVRed Seven Brides for Seven Brothers she became so enthralled with all the dancing! So every time I play the big barn dance scene she runs to he room and puts every dress-up piece she owns and goes into a Rogers and Hammerstein trance! She is her momma's child! So Russ played along and was her dance partner! Super cute and I love to watch Russ get wrapped around her finger!

A few weeks ago, while Russ went off-shore fishing, Mary and I set up GA's big girl bed and boy does she love it! I want to take pictures of her finished room, but that means she can't be in the house or else she will DE-stage it! Whew! The Sebring household has been very busy with a very busy and headstrong 2 year old! Just when we think we have this whole parenting thing down, we are once again thrown a curve ball and it's name is... THE BEDTIME TANTRUM! Oh yeah, our sweet GA, the ever so professional sleeper has turned into a super fun little miss around 8:00pm.

So, I rolled my sleeves up and told Russ to get out the camera! We are making little miss a night-time picture schedule and she is going to get on a better routine! I do these types of things for my students with difficulty transitioning, why not for my own child! So watch out Terrible Twos!

As you can tell by the title, I am running behind on my posting! So here is the first of many new blog posts! In the first few pictures, we are trying to get a cute Christmas picture of GA in front of the tree. There was a lot of bribing and threatening on the part of me and Russ...yes, I know totally bad parenting techniques. BUT we did manage ONE pretty good picture! The rest are the outtakes! Ever since Rick gave us our Nikon D60 it has been a dream taking pictures! That camera makes anyone feel like a pro!

The other two pictures are of GA and Russ decorating the tree! We got a real tree this year and we loved it! Oddly, we found one at Lowe's that was a great price and a great tree! It smelled so good and the clean-up wasn't too bad either!

Updates on GA:

She loves to be a helper! And she often calls me Cinderella and asks, "May I help you Cinderella?" I am guessing because she sees me as this beautiful princess who LOVES to clean our house! Ha-ha... it does make you feel good, though.
Her sleeping habits have taken a turn for the worse... we have to coax a lot more and prepare her for bedtime A LOT more!
She is talking up a storm, with lots of thoughtful expressions and questioning! I am constantly amazed by what comes out of her mouth!
She loves to play outside and ride her "tractor" (it's not a tractor, but a power wheels Barbie mini- 4 wheeler)
She is not overly excited about "this new baby brother thing" that we keep talking about! I told her that she was going to have share her toys and her reply,"I not share with him." GREAT!
She's been testing the parental discipline waters and throwing those lovely developmental 2 year old tantrums! Can't she give her kindergarten teacher mom a break and be perfect?
All in all she's awesome and we love her oh so much, because she's ours and she truly is absolutely perfect for us!!!!

Thanksgiving 2010

Finally, I am sitting down to concentrate on a Thanksgiving post! Russ, GA and I traveled to San Angelo to spend the night at the deer camp. Russ grew up hunting with his dad and their family friends on this ranch and it still holds wonderful memories for the Sebrings. It was REALLY cold, but thank goodness we only stayed 1 night. This South Texas family can't take too much cold weather. Jack and GA had a blast running around and looking at all the scenery, including looking for deer. After Thanksgiving dinner, GA and I left Russ to stay behind and hunt for another night and we headed into Midland to warm up and visit some of my favorite places. I was able to meet up with Oceana and see how much she has grown, even from the summer! I can't believe she is in 5th grade and remember I taught her in kindergarten! Time flies by...

The end of our journey at a Chili's in Boerne, by this time little miss had pulled out pony tail and she looked like a little ragamuffin. But it was so late and we were so ready to get home...I was just glad she went potty before going into the restaurant!

Yes, if I have not mentioned before... GA is potty-trained!!! This makes me super happy these days!!! Because now we only have to buy diapers for one little Sebring!

Toddler Time and Shoreline Strides 5K Walk

On Friday, GA and Russ came to my school for our monthly "Toddler Time" program. Russ was so sweet to take off from work to take her! Then, on Saturday we participated in our friends' Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk/Run on Shoreline. They raised over $10,000 for cancer research! We had a great time and GA stayed in stroller the entire time!

OH.BOY.OH.BOY.OH.BOY!

As most of you have read we were REEEEEALLY trying to wait until the big day to find out the gender! I would still not know if we didn't have this last sono. I was so strong, until Sunday night when I finally broke down and cried my eyes out to Russ about not being able to plan and get ready and how I felt that it was hard to connect with this pregnancy. Those feelings were definitely not something I had foreseen coming on. So being the best hubby, Russ says, "Babe, I just want you to be happy." More tears...and then more tears....and then excitement! Yay!

So my appointment was on Tuesday @ 1pm and Russ was in Laredo, so I asked the sonogram technician to write down in a card for us the sex that we would open later when he got home. Those 5 hours were way too long and I was SO excited to find out! As you can see I took pictures of Russ opening the card, because I was too ansy to do it. GA was dancing around on the kitchen floor and did not stay still long enough for her picture to be taken.

Russ, GA and I are thrilled to be bringing home our little Henry Wade Sebring in March! Enjoy the snap shots of our big moment!

Well, we held our 2nd annual Halloween Bash again! I was terrible at taking pictures and I didn't get all the shots I wanted. Russ and I went as the Situation and Snooki! I know....such a shame not getting to see me as a pregnant Snooki looking more like a version of Peg from Married with Children! But I did get an unforgettable shot of my man, the SITUATION!

I finally got around to posting our Halloween pictures! GA was a ballerina this year and boy did she have a ball in the tutu and ballet slippers! Her Grannie made the head piece and Meme bought the tutu and leotard! Then we completed the outfit with pantyhose and slippers. I loved seeing her dance around and act super girly! I can't WAIT for real ballet lessons and recitals!!!! Here are some pictures from trick or treating on Sunday afternoon and trunk or treat at a friend's church.

Surprise! Yes, we are still determined to let Baby #2 come to us by way of surprise! I know this kills most of my family and friends, but believe me it is pretty darn hard on my side, too! As some of you may know, I am really doing this out of love for my sweet husband. He really wants to have a surprise, so I am on board with supporting him. Which by the way, today is his birthday! Happy Birthday my sweet hubby! GA and I love you oh so much!

Today we went in for our 20 week sono and everything looked really good. I asked so many questions this time around since the first time I was so concerned about finding out the sex. The baby weighed 12 ounces and showed us some cute hands and feet. I measured 5 days earlier than my due date ( 20w 2d). And I have lost one pound, bringing my total weight gain to 7lbs. I feel like with GA I was 13 to 15 lbs. gained, so keeping up with a 2 year old has its advantages. (And Yes, I did try to secretly determine if I saw anything, but half the time I couldn't tell between the bottom and top of the baby, so I was clueless.)

Dr. Wilder did however tell us we get another sono in 4 weeks! Urghhhh.... I thought this would be it until the big day, but I remembered last time he did the same thing with GA so I guess I should look forward to seeing the baby again. But oh my goodness, it is so hard not just to yell out, "OKAY just tell me already!"

Well, it's late and I am super tired, so I will try to post sono pics tomorrow and possibly a belly shot. MAYBE. we'll see.....

Trip to DC and this weekend at the Island House!

Last weekend, Russ and I traveled to Maryland and DC to see my brother getting promoted from a Captain in the Air Force to a Major. It was a great event and a fun family gathering for us. My mom, Rick and my dad also joined us. I feel a little guilty for not bringing GA, but it was nice for Russ and I to have some grown-up time to relax and enjoy each other.

On Friday, we went to the ceremony in Rosslyn, VA which is right next to DC. In fact you can see everything from the building we were in. My brother is stationed at the Pentagon, but his office is not there due to the fact that there are a lot of people who work there, and not enough space. Something new I learned on this trip. Mick had a great turn out and it was a very special ceremony. I have always been so proud of his accomplishments and it was pretty neat to see it in person.

After the big event we went to this mexican food restaurant, Santa Fe Club, that the officers in his building affectionately refer to as the "Officers Club." It's tradition for the promoted officer to buy drinks for all the people who attended! I was very cheap for Mick since all I had was water!!! So not fun to see people drinking fun margaritas! Then we went to Annapolis for a nice family dinner that was SOOOO good! At that point in the evening, all I wanted was something with creamy butter sauce, I know I am so pregnant! I can't help that I love food!

On Saturday, Russ and I hopped on the Metro headed for The Mall in DC to go touring. Little did we know there was a huge rally with at least 100,000 people also at The Mall and we had to do some manuvering. We enjoyed ourselves doing some people watching, enjoying the wonderful fall weather and going to the American History Smithsonian. After that, we headed back to send QT with my family and watch some LSU football. (My brother is a HUGE LSU fan!)

Busy, busy, busy is what we have been these last few weeks! Family in town for Labor Day, a trip to our favorite West Texas town and school canceled for flood rains in South Texas! I feel so bad because I have not been in my classroom since last Wednesday, my students have probably forgotten that I am even their teacher!! Last week, I was oh so fortunate to be called into jury duty and then yep--picked for the jury! I have to say that it was really hard to sit and listen to someone's mistakes and then make a judgement on it. I have such a sensitive heart and I want to believe the best in everyone, so this was a very hard job for me. But thankfully, it's over and me, Russ and GA left for Midland on Thursday for a quick visit. (I had Friday off for Hummer festival.)

We went on a whirlwind visiting tour and we were able to see three new babies! Now that we are expecting, it makes me so excited to have another one ( a little nervous, too). I was able to feed little miss emery and I was so scared I was doing it wrong( thanks Jill for being so patient with my fumble fingers)...so I am going to need some more practice! Thank goodness GA has plenty of doll babies to practice with....ha! We also got to see miss henley faye and mr. jake!!! Such cute and precious babies and so tiny...I keep thinking was grace ann that tiny?

I also got to visit with my sweet treasure, Oceana!! I love this girl so much and she is such a constant reminder of joy for Russ and I! We were able to take her to lunch and then she and I hung out at Barnes and Nobles looking at books (something I have not done in FOREVER!). Yes, GA was with her Meme, thank goodness.

Well, my fingers are getting pretty tired...so enjoy the pictures! Sorry no pictures from our trip to Midland.

On Aug. 14th, we celebrated GA's 2nd birthday with a morning playdate (sorry no pictures from that, I seemed to have been a little busy...) and a family party that evening. Grace Ann had shown such an interest in Nemo this summer that we decided to go all Nemo-Out for the party! She loves anything to do with the ocean, so she was in love with all the party decorations. We had a such a fun weekend with our family and friends and feel so blessed that we get to be Grace Ann's parents.

Weekend in Cleveland

Last weekend, GA and I drove to Cleveland to visit my folks. Thank goodness to a portable DVD player and Nemo, we made it to Cleveland without a hitch! We also got to stop and see GA's friend, Allie, who is 5 months old and just adorable! Grace Ann kept saying to me, "hold it" as if I were going to let her, a mere 23 months, hold this baby all by herself. She was also drooling over this baby like a piece of chocolate candy! It was too funny. But here are some pictures of my mom and GA that Rick took while they were out in the backyard swimming. I was at church, enjoying some peace and quiet and not having to worry that as soon as the homily began I would have to get up to go to the cryroom. However, today at church was a funny story....GA discovered the statue of Jesus and was mesmerized! She would look at me and point-"Jesus!" And to top it off everytime the choir music would become louder and get dramatic (to emphasize special parts in the mass) she would say and I quote, " Whoa...Jesus is coming!" And people this is the televised service! Everyone around us died laughing, but GA was some kind of serious! That is just too precious not to share. Fourth of July weekend with Oceana!

We spent our Fourth of July weekend jammed packed with FUN! We began with swimming, taking the girls to Toy Story 3 (GA's first movie experience...she lasted one hour! Then Russ had to come pick her up!) and then to the Circus-Zing, Zang, Zoom! Russ had never been to the circus and I must say he was impressed! We were not impressed however with the $9 terrible sno-cone and the $12 cotton candy! But we had a lot of fun! Then on the 4th we attempted the beach, but like I said before, the seaweed was so gross and the smell was even worse. So we headed to the pool and then dinner at Snoopy's! We saw fireworks at the Aquarium with some of our friends and ate some yummy brownies. Sadly, Oceana left today after another visit to the Aquarium to see the dolphin show and the "fishies." We will miss her and can't wait for another visit! Enjoy our weekend through the pictures!

After our vacation, we have kept a pretty steady pace of events. Russ, Grace Ann and I have enjoyed having company over the last few weeks. My dad came for Father's Day, then I went to my girls' weekend in Port A and just this weekend, Oceana came for a visit! I feel bad that our beaches have been overwhelmed with gross smelling seaweed! Yuck! So we have been going to the pool most days and I have been admiring the water from afar. So here are come pictures from the last few weeks.

Paradise- Days 4-7

The rest of our trip was pretty much the same: pool, lunch, nap, beach! I loved this schedule! WE had the best time and I can't wait to go back! I loved riding the bikes everywhere we went and just relaxing with the family. Russ and his dad were able to go fishing and they caught us some yummy redfish and trout. Eating fresh caught fish was delicious and it wasn't tar stained..win-win! Also we were very lucky that the oil spill hadn't reached the beaches yet, so the water was just perfect! So here are the rest of my favorite shots from the trip...

Paradise- Day Three!

Here we are this afternoon! After GA got up from her nap and Russ and I got back from lounging at the pool (thank you Mimi and Pepaw for watching GA) we headed for the beach. Marcie, Keith and Jack had gone earlier in the day and they had the best time, so we had to see for ourselves. And we were not let down, Grace Ann had so much fun and kept saying (over and over) "I swimmin', I swimmin'" and then after we had enough of the swimmin' we played in the sand. She was really unsure of the sand and kept on trying to touch it, but she was just paralzyed with this new activity. But after Russ and I pushed her hands in she went to town. Not so much making anything, but throwing sand everywhere screaming/giggling, "Daaa-deee, we made it! We made it!" I'm not quite sure what we were making, but we WERE making it! Russ and I laughed so hard! So far we have been enjoying the neighborhood and not making hard decisions, like pool or beach?

Paradise-Day One and Two

Well, we have made it to Watercolor, Florida and let me just say that it is AWESOME! After a pretty good flight to Panama City we headed to Seaside, where Russell's folks rented a house for us. The house is equipped with all the comforts of home including bikes, which everyone rides to and from the beach and all around this perfect little resort town! Our first few days we went to the beach, loaded up on groceries, and staked out the best pools. The kids were exhausted after swimming two times a day and thankfully they sacked out early! Here are some pictures of our first few days. (They are out of order...later ones in the front and earlier ones at the end.)

Beach to Bay 2010!

This year for Beach to Bay we had a neighborhood team with our friends! We had the best time, even due to the horrible rain, lightning and thunder that some of us had to run through. The festivities began with a spaghetti dinner on Friday night with 10 adults and 6 kiddos under the age of 3! Needless, to say there were some wild kiddos including a certain Sebring little girl! We ate lots of spaghetti, talked a little strategy and laughed a lot! Then, on Saturday morning, Russ and I woke up to pouring rain and thunder. But we knew this was a rain or shine event (there were 14,000 people running) and we packed up and headed out. Due to the weather, traffic was really bad and I way miscalculated the drop-off times. Russ did the third leg (4.36miles) and I was doing the fourth leg (4.69miles). I dropped him off and parked (not such a good idea) and had a terrible time getting to the hand-off and I was 30 minutes late. Russ ran faster than I thought he would! Poor guy had to stand in the pouring rain, after he had been running for 48 minutes! So when I finally got there, I had no time to stretch, so I just grabbed the baton and took off! Thank goodness for another friends' hat to keep the rain off my face. But with a little praise music, some MJ and a little Lady Gaga I made it to the next hand-off in 55 minutes. Then I had to walk another 2 miles in the rain until Russ found me to pick me up. It was a busy morning, but definitely memorable. The sun finally came out around noon and we headed to Cole Park to have our free pizza and beer. Poor Russ, they ran out of beer by the time we went through the line. I told him next year we had to run faster to get to the good stuff! Well, enjoy the pictures. I will post some more of GA soon. Here Pop-pop took some cute ones last time he came to visit!

This weekend, GA and I traveled to Cleveland to celebrate Relay for Life with my mom and Rick. We had the best time and GA wore herself out telling everyone hello and waving! She was a handful but we just laughed at how she would go up to anyone and say hi! So here are some pics from this weekend:

Where in the world are the Sebrings?

First of all, I have been a total blog slacker! I have very few pictures from March and we did so many things! I feel terrible!

Spring started full swing with us and we have been hitting the pavement non-stop. GA and I went to Dallas at the beginning of our spring break for Cousin Jack's 3rd birthday. Not only did GA enjoy the cupcakes but boy oh boy did she discover these wonderful things known as "steps" or "stairs" to be exact. Jack had his party at "My Gym" in Frisco and this place had all kinds of gymnastics and play equipment. So like I said GA went straight for the stairs and for a whole hour I held her hands as she went up the stairs and down the stairs, up the stairs and down the stairs....I think you get the idea. It was WAAAAAAAAAY fun! But really who knew that stairs were a phase/fascination? I was talking to a friend of mine and she said her daughter went through the "stairs" phase, too.

So then we traveled to the great Mississippi to visit my family in Columbia/Hattiesburg! Enjoli, Camden, GA, myself, Mom and Rick loaded up for a road trip east! We had a great time going to the Hattiesburg Zoo and eating lots of good food! I love that southern fried catfish and caramel cake! I have to say that my brother, Buck, was such a trooper for me and Enjoli. We had no mode of transportation, since we were staying with my dad and he let me drive his new car and we put in two huge carseats. (He just turned 16!) What a way to spend your spring break, catering to your big sis and sister in law and letting me boss him around. Thanks Buck, you are the best little brother!!!!!!

Okay....more about my sweet Grace Ann! She is so much fun to play with! We are super busy at this house because we have become avid fans of Little People, Barney and Elmo and we have to keep up with Murray and the Word on the Street!!! (MOMs of Toddlers you know exactly what that is!) She is talking so much and taking any opportunity to tell me and Russ-"No, no Mommy or No, no Dad-de!" Oh brother and the funny part is she wags that finger as she is saying it! What a priss!

Our newest venture is the "Potty!" She has been going to the potty at her sitters and so we are slowly transitioning to being fully-potty trained. I haven't had time to read much about the subject, but I plan to be more aggressive once summer begins. I am very surprised she knows what it is all about and she loves to flush and say "Bye-bye, tee-tee." So who knows it could be a struggle or a breeze.....I'll let you know.

Well, that's it for now! We had a great, relaxing and peaceful Easter with just the three of us. GA loves the plastic eggs, even with no candy! SCORE!

I will post pics soon, I plan on taking some post-Easter dress pics this weekend!

These pics are from a few weekends ago when my parents, Enjoli and Camden came to visit! We took the kiddos to the beach for a photo op together in their matching Easter outfits. It was EXTREMELY chilly and we literally ran out to the beach for 10 minutes and snapped as many pics as we could! It was too funny seeing them run around as we chased after them trying to get them to laugh. However, we did not want them near the freezing water so you will notice that most of the pics are in the sand. Enjoy!

I have been so lazy with my posting and I know that my mom will appreciate this update. So here is what we have been up to...

New Year's Eve- went to a friend's ranch for a fun spend the night party with 7 other couples- no driving afterwards a gift in itself!
Back to school Jan.4th-the break went by way too fast!

Jan. 24th- Russ and Todd went to see the Saints and Vikings game in NO with my Dad...they had a blast! (sorry no pictures...still waiting on my dad to sent those)

Jan. 29th- went to Cleveland/The Woodlands to see Brittney and the new baby, Allie! She is so darn cute and tiny!! I don't think GA was ever that tiny! (again no pics b/c no camera) Plus I got to see my parents, Emily, Enjoli and Camden and Jessica and sweet baby Jackson, who is also super adorable!
GA and Camden had fun staking their claim on their favorite toys! I think Grann and Pop had fun watching them, too!

GA got her one-year molars and those are just so fun to deal with! Take huge teeth + cranky baby+no sleep= really happy parents!

She is also talking up a storm! I told Russ I bet her lexicon(= vocabulary, using that speech language education wherever I can) is at least 50! Her favorite words are: apple, elephant, milk, "my baby", nose, ears, eyes,uh-oh and thank you!

Christmas Morning...

Here are some pics of GA on Christmas morning when Santa came to visit! I could hardly wait for her to come into the living room to see all the new goodies! We filmed the moment and it was just precious seeing her face light up! I can only imagine what she was thinking and I loved every minute of it! She was really into her stocking and kept looking and grabbing just in case she forgot something. As you see one of her favorites were the sunglasses! Every sassy girl needs her shades! Right?! Well, enjoy some of my favorites!
